Canine Companions: The Makings of a Service Dog

Free event, registration required. This lecture is designed for humans only.

Canine Companions is a leader in the service dog industry with a mission to provide their clients with dogs who can help them live with greater independence. Canine Companions provides service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities and facility dogs to professionals working in healthcare, criminal justice and educational settings. Since their founding in 1975, the dogs and all follow-up services are provided at no cost to their clients.

People go to Canine Companions because of their reputation, the quality of their dogs, the experience of the training staff and the desire to live life with greater independence. Canine Companions is committed to providing services to all qualified clients.

Join us to learn about Canine Companions including the breeding program, puppy raising program and the various services they provide. Volunteer Puppy Raisers Lisa Rickards and Doug Tyler will be presenting. Together (and with Doug’s wife Karen) they are raising Rileigh. Rileigh is the 15th puppy Lisa has raised and the 8th for Doug & Karen.
